World Chase Tag® Releases First Official Team Rankings: Hollywood Freerunners Lead 35-Team Global Leaderboard

World Chase Tag® has officially launched its first public team rankings, introducing a transparent leaderboard that ranks 35 teams from 9 countries based on competitive performance. Women’s Division rankings are not yet available.

The rankings, now live at worldchasetag.com/leaderboard, use an ELO-based system that weighs event tier (World Championships carrying more weight than Chase-Offs), match stage (finals worth more than group matches), opponent strength, and score.

Hollywood Freerunners claim the top spot. The reigning World Champions have lost just one match in two years, a November 2025 defeat to Rooftop Kings at the Rotterdam Chase-Off.

France and the United States dominate the top 10, reflecting both nations’ active competition calendars and status as the only countries hosting regular WCT National Championships.

The Top 10

Rank Team Country
1 Hollywood Freerunners USA
2 Parkour59 France
3 Apex Moon USA
4 Fakaw France
5 Kimeo France
6 The Crow France
7 NYX USA
8 Mamba France
9 Fata Morgana Israel
10 UGEN UK

Key Storylines

Apex Moon (#3) remains highly ranked despite failing to qualify for WCT7 Worlds, a reflection of their dominant run as three-time consecutive US Champions and WCT5 World Champions.

Kimeo (#5), the reigning vice-World Champions, also missed WCT7 qualification after finishing fourth at the French Championship. Their ranking is expected to drop following the Paris event.

NYX (#7) enters the rankings after a single event winning the WCT7 US Championship undefeated. Whether the Georgia-based squad can sustain that form remains to be seen.

Rooftop Kings (#11) show the sharpest upward trajectory, climbing rapidly after consecutive wins over top-10 opponents including Hollywood Freerunners, Parkour59, Fakaw, Fata Morgana, and UGEN at the Brent Cross, Rotterdam and Malaga Chase-Offs.

UGEN (#10), the world’s longest-standing team, close out the top 10, though many fans would rank them higher based on legacy alone. Official tournament results tell a different story.

Fata Morgana (#9) hold steady as the top-ranked team outside France and the US, though limited event participation constrains their ceiling.

How the Rankings Work

The ELO system calculates team strength based on:

Data includes all official WCT events and select Chase-Offs from WCT5 onwards.

What’s Next

The rankings will shift significantly following the WCT7 World Championships in Paris (June 6-7, 2026), where qualified teams will compete for the sport’s highest title and the points that come with it.
